DESCRIPTION:Guest Speaker: Judson Cole \nTopic: Fly Fishing the Guadalupe River and Understanding River Entomology (matching the hatch) \nJudson Cole is head guide and owner of the new Rio Anglers. In this presentation he will break down the basics of “aquatic insects” and their related counterparts\, and how they are a vital component of a fish’s diet. He will discuss basic identification\, stages of the hatching cycle\, and the fly patterns used to match these. He’ll then guide you through the intricacies of matching the hatch on the Guadalupe\, helping you identify key aquatic insects and tie effective flies to target Guadalupe River fish. \nThe Austin Fly Fishers meet the third Thursday of each month at the Northwest Rec Center (2913 Northland Dr). \nDoors at 6pm meeting begins at 7pm. \nVisitors and guests welcome.
