DESCRIPTION:Guest Speaker: Romey Swanson\nTopic: Protecting the Devils River \nRomey serves as the Executive Director of the Devils River Conservancy. This organization is an Austin\, Texas-based nonprofit dedicated to the preservation and protection of the Devils River and its surrounding watershed. Largely considered one of the last wild\, pristine\, and spring-fed rivers in Texas\, the river faces environmental threats that the Conservancy works to mitigate.  \nThe Austin Fly Fishers meet the third Thursday of each month at the Northwest Rec Center (2913 Northland Dr) \nDoors at 6pm meeting begins at 7pm \nCasting demonstrations on the lawn beforehand\, weather permitting \nVisitors and guests welcome
