SUMMARY:AFF Monthly Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Our July Speaker will be Jim Gray \nJim has been fly fishing and fly tying for over 40 years\, the last 25 based in the Central Texas Hill Country. Jim is an active member of the Austin fly fishing community and has served as the president of the FFI Texas Council and the Austin Fly Fishers. Jim is a frequent presenter at Texas\, Louisiana and Florida fly fishing clubs\, giving presentations on Hill Country rivers\, tying Hill Country flies\, fly fishing for carp\, and fly fishing for exotics in South Florida. Jim and Jeff Hoelter designed the Llanolope\, one of the most popular flies in Central Texas. Jim also developed the Jim’s Damsel and the SB100. Jim’s career has given him the opportunity to fly fish all over the world but he greatly enjoys the his home state waters in the TX Hill Country\, especially the Llano River. \nThe Austin Fly Fishers meet the third Thursday of each month at the Northwest Rec Center (2913 Northland Dr). \nDoors at 6pm meeting begins at 7pm. \nVisitors and guests welcome.

DESCRIPTION:Grahame Jones\, will be our speaker for the February 15th meeting. Grahame will be speaking about “Spring Bass Fishing Techniques and access points on the Austin area lakes”. (Travis\, Buchanan\, Decker\, LBJ and Lake Austin) \nGrahame is a guide for all All Waters Guides. Grahame doesn’t focus or depend on fish finding electronics. Instead he focuses on wind\, time of day\, water and air temperature\, water depth\, observations of birds and bait\, habitat\, structure and over 50 years of fishing experience to locate fish.  \nGrahame is a strong proponent of wildlife and fisheries conservation\, habitat improvement and access to public land and waters.
