Fishing the Brazos River

At the August meeting Will Herring and Jordan Marsh will talk about fishing the Brazos for bass (largemouth, spotted and smallmouth), gaspergoo, buffalo, carp, bluegill, and longnose gar. Guests who stay at their Brazos River Fish Camp will have opportunities to fish choice and less pressured stretches of the Brazos River.

There will be drawings for a variety of flies tied by local fisherman, Jim Gray, at the meeting.

The Austin Fly Fishers meet the third Thursday of each month at the Northwest Rec Center (2913 Northland Dr).

Doors at 6pm meeting begins at 7pm.

Casting on the lawn before the meeting, weather permitting.
